I haven't blogged in a while.... Y'all know I'm busy trying to open a school! Monday, I had a great plan for the day with maybe an hour of errands and then on to hang with the fam.... Well, that plan quickly detoured. I thought I would blog about it using the format of one of my favorite children's novels.
Fortunately, today I had a great plan for the day.
Unfortunately, it all went to hell in a handbasket.
Fortunately, I got a gym membership and was ready to workout.
Unfortunately, my workout buddy had chiggers in unfortunate place and wasn't able to go with me today.
Fortunately, I had time to go do car things.
Unfortunately, I HATE doing car things so I totally put it off.
Fortunately, I got my oil changed by very nice people.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get it inspected because the tred on one of my tires was too thin.
Fortunately, Discount Tires in Rockwall was only 1/2 mile away, so I went there (where they wanted to sell me 3 tires instead of just 1).
Unfortunately, the wait was 2-3 HOURS!
Fortunately, they only had one tire in stock.
Unfortunately it cost $200.
Fortunately, I had brought my computer to do some work.
Unfortunately the battery was getting low.
Fortunately, I met a new friend named Mrs. Evelyn.
Unfortunately, she had a long wait too.
Fortunately, my friends Crystal and Jan were in Rockwall and came to rescue me to eat lunch with them.
Unfortunately, my car still wasn't ready.
Fortunately, we had some errands to run and they finally called to say my car was ready.
Unfortunately, I still had to get the car inspected and registered.
Fortunately, all offices were still open at this time.
Unfortunately, I ran a red light and came about 6 inches from crashing into a car.
Fortunately, I got myself together and drove carefully downtown to get my car registered (I already got it inspected by this time).
Unfortunately, there was another line!
Fortunately, it went very fast.
Unfortunately, I still had 25 minutes to get to my final destination.
Fortunately, I got to my sister's house where I can chill and have a glass of wine.
Unfortunately.... ok let's be real - there's not unfortunate about a glass of wine.
So, fortunately the rest of my day was spent at the pool.
And, fortunately my family was together laughing and enjoying having my niece home from CA.
And the day of unfortunate events turned out very fortunate.
The End....
