Addicted to the "P" word

Steve just looks at me when I start a sentence with, "Hey-- Look what I found on Pinterest!"  But he will be the first to say that we have had some great meals and home decor because of this fabulous site.  I am very seasonal and love to add it to my home.  I took several ideas to make this table decoration for "the month of Love".  I got 2 small frames, scrapbook paper and and "X" and "O" applique from Hobby Lobby.  I bought a large vase and a smaller vase and the conversation hearts are  between the two.  This was 2 bags of candy hearts.  I bought a bunch of silk daisies and then added the hearts to the center.  The candles are wine glasses upside down with a string of pearls (from my Christmas decorations) inside with white candles on the top.  There it is... my Valentine center piece.  We are going to be painting Steve's dining room in the next couple of weeks and then I will have a centerpiece that is in the works (in my head that is).  Will post....

Times passes....

I have not been a great blogger.  I started my blog more than 6 months ago with every intention to writing regularly.  Well, here we are and I'm just writing a new post.  There has been so many wonderful things that have transpired over this time and definitely learning experiences too.  I started at a new school and it has been an eye opening experience.  I have found that I was very fortunate to have worked with a group of people that had the coworkers best interest at heart and not a heart of jealousy and ready to throw anyone under the bus to make themselves look better or keep their status.  It has been a hard lesson.  I have appreciated the more positive leadership that this school has.  I have been able to gain a lot of insight of things I will want to do and not do if given the opportunity to be part of the leadership of a school.

I was in the musical 9 to 5 this past fall.  It was an amazing experience.  I played Violet, the Lily Tomlin role.  I would have NEVER seen myself in that part, but I feel like I finally "got it".  It was so much fun.  Garland Summer Musicals is doing it in July and I'm toying with auditioning.

The most amazing thing that has happened is that I fell in love.  I did a show with him the year prior.  We became friends and hung out for a while.  I wanted to move forward but he didn't and I couldn't understand because we had such a great time together.  This lesson taught me that timing is EVERYTHING!  He was also in 9 to 5 and we started spending time together and then started dating.  He was ready. :)  We have been dating 5 months now and it has been amazing.  He has taught me so much and is so kind and patient.  He is my heart.  I will keep the posts updated as this wonderful chapter of my life unfolds.
