A Bucket List Item Checked Off

I have to be the worst blogger as far as frequency goes!  There has been so much going on since my last post!  I have been named principal to a brand new STEM school in my district.  That is so exciting and crazy busy all at once.  I am directing a show- Wedding Singer - which if you are reading this and you have not seen it, well--- you should! Tickets are available at www.rockwallcommunityplayhouse.org - shameless plug.

Okay, but here's the real reason for this post.  I got my picture taken in the bluebonnets today!  Seriously, this is a BIG deal.  I have lived in Texas my entire life and never once taken pictures in the bluebonnets.  I love them so much because those pretty little clusters or petals take me to my grandmother and granddaddy's house off the highway in Sulphur Springs.  They had a lot of land.  Granddaddy would mow around the house but then leave a large portion to grow up and display the beautiful bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes and Buttercups sprinkled throughout.  Their porch went around the front and side of the house.  How I long for those simple times and to sit in those metal chairs chatting with my grandparents and running through the flowers.  Although, if you know me I was a high maintenance child so certain grass made whelps on my legs and make me itch profusely.  So, thanks to my see JuJu Kitty (a.k.a Julie Kennon) she took pics of the children of our friends.... and me! :)  Everything about these few minutes for me was joy.  I loved taking pics with the sweet twins - even though Avery had a serious ant attack - but she was loving it up until that part.  It was an awfully windy day but you have to seize the moment when you actually have time to do this AND the flowers are still in bloom.

Thanks for reading!

Stacey
