ALL THE THINGS.... 101 Things in 1001 Days - March 2023 Edition - Yes, I know I am late! LOL

March was a fabulous month for my journey to accomplish 101 things in 1001 days!

For spring break this year my niece, Haley, and I traveled to Napa!  It was an amazing week.  The area was unseasonably rainy for this time of year but perfect for sipping wine on patios, looking out over gorgeous vineyards and beautiful sunsets.

Day 1:

We flew into San Jose and drove to Pentaluma where we were staying.  I used Turo for car rental option which was so much cheaper than going through a rental agency!  Seriously, download the app and try it if you are traveling.

Our first stop was Domaine Carneros for a champagne tasting.  The scenery was absolutely breathtaking.

We then made our way to Sky & Vine Rooftop Bar.

Day 2:

Calistoga was the destination for our second day where our journey took us to the Castello Di Amorosa.  It was a great day.  I mean who doesn't love a castle?  Although I do think I am a princess, I decided a castle was too damp and cold for me to live long term. :)

Downtown Calistoga was full of quaint shops and spots to eat.  We chose Sam's Social Club.  We sat by the fire place and because it was chilly, folks had puffy vests on.  I felt like I was at a ski lodge rather than wine country.  It was a great place to eat and enjoy the scenery and slow pace.

Day 3:

This was going to be the MOST epic day!  We had planned a hot air balloon ride.  We got up and drove to the launch pad.  Just then the phone rang and the call was that the flight had been cancelled due to high gusts and rain.  We were so disappointed.  However, we found a cute little café for breakfast and made plans to go to Albuquerque, NM in June to mark this one off my list.

We did a little shopping and then headed to the Robert Biale Vineyard.  It was the cutest place.  There weren't a lot of people there, so we were able to ask a lot of questions and take in the view.

Once we decided (reluctantly) to leave, we drove to Oxbow Market and browsed around.  There was an Italian place across the street where we ate dinner.

Day 4:

Our sweet adventure was coming to a close as we prepared to go home on day 4, but not before we went to one more winery in downtown Pentuluma with some delicious pizza.  It truly was one of the most relaxing, easy going and beautiful trips I have taken!

I absolutely cannot wait for more adventures!

In March, my Fab5 group along with the 3 husbands in our group, took a road trip to Sugarland to see the Savannah Bananas!  If you do not know who they are think Harlem Globetrotters for baseball.  Look them up on Tik Tok.  They are hilarious!  It was chilly that night but such a fun night!

We had a group photo taken, but apparently I did not have it on my camera roll :)

Finally, a few other things I crossed off of my list were that I received my passport, ordered an air fryer (love it), and planted a few things in raised garden beds.  My strawberries are starting to make and taste so sweet.  I cannot wait to make "SASSY'S JAM" at some point (even if it's next season).

More to come....for now, be blessed, be BRAVE, and know you are equipped!

P.S.  One of my goals is to get 1001 followers for my blog.  If you read this, please give me a follow!

Thank you in advance!
Love, Stacey

ALL THE THINGS.... 101 Things in 1001 Days - February Edition

On February 1, 2023, I started a fun journey of 101 Things in 1001 Days.  This list is full of bucket list items and some things I didn't even know I really needed/wanted to do! :)  Here are some things I have already been able to mark off or parts of things marked off.

February:

This was all about my birthday!

The first stop was at the SER Steaks + Spirits for a great view and a toast to the birthday weekend.  The view was great - sorry we didn't take a pic with the view!  Definite recommend!

From there, we went to RH Rooftop in Dallas!  OH MY WORD-- it was so amazing.  I will be revisiting this restaurant.  There wasn't one thing we ordered that wasn't to die for.

We did make reservations!

You should RUN to the Open Table app and make a reservation.  It was just so good!  Of course it was right after our ice/snow week, so the outside patio was closed.  However, it looked equally incredible to have a summer cocktail!

The following day I took advantage of some birthday perks!  50% off of a Kendra Scott piece and a free Sprinkles STRAWBERRY cupcake - yes please! #iykyk

That night, Tiff and Lyndsey joined us and we headed to another local spot:  Meddlesome Moth.  Seriously - this was so good as well.  If you haven't been - you need to put his locally owned spot on your list!  Everything we had was super yummy.

Speakeasies are becoming a popular thing.  Since we found a fabulous one in Savannah in November, we thought we would see what Dallas had to offer.  We found one called Room 520 and decided to visit.  It wasn't somewhere we want to go back, but it was a good time!

The next day (which was my actual birthday), we headed to brunch to meet up with Paige at Haywire and then off to Fair Park to see Pretty Woman, the Musical.
I'm not sure how people knew it was my birthday! :)

Finally, we drove over to XOXO for a fun dining experience which was decorated in more pink than you can imagine.  The staff is funny and love to have a good time!  It's probably not on one of my top places to return, but it was fun to go with the Fab5!

With this weekend I only marked off eating at 1 locally owned restaurants from my home to Dallas.  The goal is 10 in 1001 days.

Several more items have been marked off already in March!  I can't wait to share!

Until then, I hope you visit some of these place  and create adventures for yourself!

Be Bold, Be Blessed, and know you are EQUIPPED

Love, SK

101 Things in 1001 Days

If you know me, you know I love a challenge.  I happened upon a blog using the 101 Things in 1001 Days.  (This is from Day Zero Project originally)

Here's the scoop:

The Challenge:

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part)

Why 1001 Days?

Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

Naturally, I thought this was a fabulous idea.  I have to admit, it took me a couple of days to come up with 101 things. I researched many others' 101 lists and how each categorized them. I'm excited about my list and even if I am not able to complete ALL 101 things, it will be an amazing 1001 days! I have added a countdown to start on February 1 (only fitting for opening ceremony day for my birthday month).  I am going to update in 100-day increments.  Here is my list!
